Astrophysics: Branch of astronomy that studies the physics of celestial bodies and phenomena in the universe.
Matilda effect: Sociological phenomenon by which the contribution of women scientists is minimized, denied or attributed to their male colleagues.
Neutron star: Remains very dense of a massive star after a supernova explosion, composed mainly of neutrons.
Feminism: Set of movements and political, philosophical and social ideas that share a common goal: to define, establish and defend equality in rights, dignity and treatment of women and men.
Pulsar: A rapidly rotating neutron star that emits beams of electromagnetic radiation detectable as regular pulses from Earth.
Scientific popularization: Action of making scientific knowledge accessible to a non-expert public, without altering its rigor.
